Thankful

October has been designated as Pastor Appreciation month.

We are so thankful for our pastor who preaches and teaches the truth of the Gospel faithfully.

"If you have a pastor who preaches the Word, give thanks to God. "
Burk Parsons

"always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father."

Ephesians 5:20

  2. I didn't know that this was Pastor appreciation month.
I'll have to do something special for our Pastor.
He is wonderful and a man of God who lives what he preaches!!

    1. I know whatever you do for him will be special, Karen. I also know that your pastor will appreciate your kindness.

  3. We are so thankful for a pastor who preaches the word. As you know, it's getting harder and harder to find one that does.
We had a time of praying over our pastors (youth pastor too) yesterday and then had a potluck after the service to celebrate them.

    1. Yes, Mari, it is getting harder and harder to find a pastor who does preach the Truth of God's Word.

What a beautiful way to show appreciation for your pastors. This coming Sunday we will have a potluck also and have opportunity to share why we are thankful for our pastor

  4. We've been at our current church for several months now and really enjoy the preaching. Our pastor is a young man (but we're getting to the age where that's probably going to be the case from here on out. :-) ) But he has a lot of wisdom.

    1. I'm so happy to hear that you are enjoying the preaching at the church where you are currently going. Our pastor is about 10 years younger than us so we know that eventually he will be retiring and someone younger will be stepping in. But we are certainly enjoying his preaching and teaching while we can.
