The approach to the chapel is lovely through forest and it is surrounded by beautiful gardens. Up the steps you go and enter into a quiet and serene chapel without walls.
Once inside without the walls you are surrounded by nature. It's so peaceful.
You can read a bit about it's history HERE.
Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit today. I have just one more adventure to share with you tomorrow from our time in Maine.
Beautiful photos and a beautiful place! It looks so peaceful there. Thanks for the link to the history of this place.
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome for the link, Melanie. I could have spent the rest of my day there...just so peaceful.
DeleteWhat a beautiful place! I enjoyed reading about the history. One of my college outings was at an outdoor chapel called Pretty Place that had a similar vibe (https://www.campgreenville.org/pretty-place). I admit that although I love AC and closed windows against bugs, there is just something special about outdoor chapels.
ReplyDeleteThank you for reading about the history of the chapel. I checked out Pretty Place Chapel ...thank you for leaving me the link. It's very pretty as well...and what a view!
