TODAY IS: 24 February 2025
AROUND ME: We are about to enjoy some warmer weather! Yipee!
I AM PONDERING: all of the laws and sacrifices in the Old Testament and how wonderful it is that Jesus became THE sacrifice that ended all of the other sacrifices. What a wonderful and glorious Redeemer we have when we carry His name.
AMONG MY FAVORITE THINGS:
BOOKS I AM CURRENTLY ENJOYING: Favorite Poems Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman. Methinks I may have taken on a "project" with the second book, but the title listed by my friend Lisa among her favorite ten books in 2020 intrigued me. So, I have to give it a good try. It's a resilience thing, 'ya know?
I AM THANKFUL FOR: folks that God has put in my life that I know I can go to and ask them to pray about things on my heart and can rest assured that they do actually pray.
FROM THE KITCHEN:
SOMETHING I REALLY ENJOY:
QUOTE FOR THE WEEK:
SCRIPTURE FOR THE WEEK:
I too have really been pondering all the laws and regulations in the OT. I can't imagine how hard it was to keep up with that.
ReplyDeleteIs Carroll sick now? There are so many things going around in our area.
I do like your new art and it is a message that needs to be read daily.
It's 33 degrees here right now! Hooray!
Carroll started doing much better today. He went out in the fresh air and sunshine.
DeleteI agree about the art work needing to be read every day.
Crooked pictures are a pet peeve of mine, too. It's a mystery how they get that way, especially with fewer people in the house now to bump them. With a couple that tended that way often, I got some "sticky-tac" stuff to put behind one corner to keep them in place. We live relatively close to some railroad tracks--not enough that the noise is a nuisance, but I've wondered if the vibrations have anything to do with pictures going askew.
ReplyDeleteI do like that picture. Is that something you bought locally or online?
I like when sunlight filters through the windows, too, especially through lace curtains.
Our weather is forecast to be warmer this week, too, at least in the daytime. Yay!
I hope your husband isn't coming down with something. I'm usually the hotter one here. But when my husband was doing so much painting, he got hot and turned the furnace down a notch.
I think our crooked pictures come from how hard the basement door needs to be shut at times.😉
DeleteThe picture is one that I ordered from Christian Book Distributors. They have some really pretty ones and they aren't all that expensive.
Thank you, Barbara. I think Carroll turned the corner today. We are both still taking medicine, but he's definitely starting to feel better. Going by how long his lasted, I should be turning that corner tomorrow.
That last gif gives me chills. Oh that we would remember how amazing that is...
ReplyDeleteI hear you, my friend. And what is just as amazing to me is that the Bible tells me that God loves me with the same love with which He loves Jesus.
DeleteI always enjoy the most wonderful blessings when I visit here. Hoping you all get that warm weather you are expecting. No sunshine here today. I do like your new art piece and the great thing is...when you place it in the bathroom it will be read daily....Enjoy this wonderful Monday...
ReplyDeleteThank you, Shug, for your kind words. Our temperature got up to 50 today! You guessed why I hung the wall art in the bathroom. 😉. Cause you know, sometimes we forget. xx
DeleteNice art and quote you have hanging in your bathroom. Beautiful post!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Bill. I see it often this way. Thank you for your kind words.
Deletewhat a pretty basket for the books! I love your new artwork and my husband goes nuts with crooked pictures but I do not.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Karen. The basket is one I picked up at an antique store in Maine. I find the most unique baskets in Maine.
DeleteI like your new art for the bathroom.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a good week ahead, hard to believe it will be the last one in February!
All the best Jan
Thank you, Jan, for your kind words about the artwork.
DeleteI know...my husband just said today that we are already 1/6 of the way through the year already.
I sure did enjoy this nice sunny day.
ReplyDeleteGreat post with many truths.
Thank you so much, Karen, for your kind words.
DeleteI've never had currant jam but I can imagine how tasty it would be.
ReplyDeleteI hope your husband isn't getting sick. Feeling too warm when the house is on the chilly side is strange.
I love the verses you've posted 💗
We enjoy currant jam. It's a bit on the start side but we like it.
DeleteThank you for your kind and encouraging words, my friend.
The book, your "project" sounds interesting. The jars of current jam look so pretty and I'll bet they are tasty as well! Have a great week, my friend.
ReplyDeleteIt really is interesting. It may turn out to be easier than I thought. 😉
